Street Sign: No Peeing

Believe it or not… We have a traffic sign that says, “No peeing” in one of our major roads called EDSA connecting all cities.

We are indeed a pissful nation full of pissful citizens. Piss be with you all!

I am Proud of My Government!

A government vehicle with a plate number starting with “SFX” suddenly becomes “SEX” by placing the red plate sticker just at the spot where F will look like an E.

A work of a genius and a very creative government employee. I can almost associate his work to Da Vinci’s, really a work of art… I am very proud of our government, they’re the best.

As a matter of fact, our government has made our country to be always in the top ten list of almost everything… like in the top ten of the worst airport in world, in the top ten of the most horrible traffic in the world, and in the top ten of the most corrupt country in Asia!

Nominating someone for this award is really quite difficult considering that I find all those I follow to be worthy to receive the Creative Blogger Award. For this reason, I nominate all of those I follow this award! You may or you may not accept my nomination due to time constraints but nevertheless, congratulations to all I am following for being creative. Keep it up!:idea::idea:

My 2nd Versatile Blogger Award…

I was nominated by Asil Acacio of Redefining Random for my second “Versatile Blogger” Award. It was indeed an honor to be nominated by a blogger such as Asil whose bright mind is so evident by the way he writes. Please do check his blogsite and you will definitely enjoy how he crafted what he writes in a fashion that often will bring a smile to your face.

As an awardee, please let me tell you 7 things about me… Again! 🙂

1. I am an accountant by profession but a blogger and musician by heart!
2. I love so much the book “Shogun” that I read it 7 times already and I am now on my 8th!
3. The Japanese samurai, bushido, and ninjutsu have always fascinated me. There was once a time that I seriously tried to learn Niponggo!
4. I love listening to women with a British accent. I find their accent pleasant and “queenly”!
5. I am of Filipino-Spaniard-Chinese descent… Nowadays, there is no longer a 100% Filipino. Most Filipinos are what they say, “half-bloods”.
6. I often pronounce the “G” sound as “K”… Like “gun” as “kan”; and ” T” as “D”… Like ” tadpole” becomes “dadpole”. LOL!
7. I love watching “zombie” movies… I believe I have all the zombie movies directed by George Romero. And I’m a fan of “The Walking Dead”!

I cheated a little bit there since I just copied these seven facts from my previous Versatile Award nomination post… Nope, I am not lazy, I just want to be consistent! Specially on the zombie fact…!

To those who have not seen these facts yet, I hope you had some fun knowing me more…! Now, I have to pass the torch to 15 of my fellow bloggers. If only I am allowed to, I would nominate all the bloggers I know. They all deserve the Versatile Blogger Award!

But rules are rules… And as they say, rules were made to be broken, too! So, I will let my fellow bloggers voluntarily nominate themselves in my behalf. And promise, I’ll buy you a good cup of coffee at Mr. Donut… Sorry, Starbucks is out of the question!

The Award Rules:

Thank the person who gave you this award by including a link to their blog. Next, select 15 blogs/bloggers that you follow and love and nominate those 15 bloggers for the Versatile Blogger Award.  Finally, tell 7 things about yourself. Full details of the award can be found on the VBA website through this link – Versatile Blogger Award.

2. I love so much the book “Shogun” that I read it 7 times already and I am now on my 8th!
3. The Japanese samurai, bushido, and ninjutsu have always fascinated me. There was once a time that I seriously tried to learn Niponggo!

The Sunshine Award

Photo courtesy of Seeing the Whisper

Before anything else, I would like to thank the SpiritKeepers of Seeing the Whisper for the Sunshine Award nomination. The SpiritKeepers blog revolves around poems and spiritual essays which you will find very interesting and wonderful to read. 🙂

The Rules:

Thank the person who nominated you.
Answer the questions from the person who nominated you. Nominate a few other bloggers and notify the bloggers on their blog.

The Spiritkeepers questions:

1. If you passed away and you believed in communication between the spirit world and the living who would you contact and why?

I don’t believe that the spirit world can communicate to the living. Assuming that spirits can, I will contact a notorious corrupt official in our country and scare the wits out of him. I’ll haunt him until he dies unless he return back all the money he stole from the national treasury!

2.What does the term, “We are one” mean to you?

The universe and everything in our planet are cosmically one. We all came from star dusts and from star dusts we will return to be recycled by the universe.

3.Why would reading an aura or energy reading be useful to you?

I guess that by reading an aura, it will let me know what a person is feeling.

4.Simply what makes you happy?

Jamming with my family always makes me happy. My daughter plays the drums, my son is our bassist, and my wife is our singer while I play as the lead guitarist. 🙂

5.If you could wish to be anything or anyone who or what would that thing be or who would you choose to be?

I want to be a super computer with billions and billions of information inside me. Every appliances, devices, cars, buildings, and anything man-made shall be connected to me that will make people think that they cannot live without me!

Thanks again, Spiritkeepers, for the nomination. I’ll be sending in a separate blog those that I will nominate to the Sunshine Award. Cheers!

Free Style Writing Challenge: What Gives Me Joy?

A gauntlet has been thrown and I merrily accepted a challenge from a wonderful damsel, that is LadyLeeManila. The tournament that is called, “The Freestyle Writing” where warriors are armed with a keypad shielded by their blinking touchscreens in an iron-clad chair with only minutes to spare to unhorse your response to the challenge. Many thanks, LadyLeeManila, for such a nomination.

The Freestyle Writing Challenge

1. Open a blank Document
2. Set a stop watch or your mobile phone timer to 5 or 10 minutes, whichever challenge you prefer.
3. Your topic is at the foot of this post BUT DO NOT SCROLL DOWN TO SEE IT UNTIL YOU ARE READY WITH YOUR TIMER!!!
4. Once you start writing do not stop until the alarm sounds!
5. Do not cheat by going back and correcting spelling and grammar using spell check (it is only meant for you to reflect on your own control of sensible thought flow and for you to reflect on your ability to write with correct spelling and grammar.)
6. You may or may not pay attention to punctuation or capitals.
7. At the end of your post write down ‘No. of words = ____” to give an idea of how much you can write within the time frame.
8. Do not forget to copy paste the entire passage on your blog post with a new topic for your nominees and copy paste these rules with your nomination (at least five (5) bloggers)

The topic I was given … What gives me joy?

There are only three things in the world that give me unexplainable joy and happiness that matches the joys in heaven, if there is a real heaven.

The joy that these three things give me is an utmost bliss that only I van experience by myself. It is like surfing peacefully in an ocean where waves come and go as I please. It is like flying up high with the wind blowing as I wish. And it is like riding a race car with ultra-powered shock absorbers that you will not feel any bumps along the way.

These are the feelings and the emotional ecstasy I have with these three things that bring me joy wwjerever I am and wherever I go at any time of the day. It is eternal and timeless, with no boundary and with no question about how these three things provide me the happiness that can be felt up to my bones.

So what are these three things that bring me joy and happiness that only I can experience and explain.

These are

My time was up, I have written 179 words in five minutes. And as I review what I have written, there were some mistakes. But thanks to my mobile phone, the advantage of writing using my mobile phone, it autocorrects some of the obvious words which I may have misspelled. And sorry that I was unable to complete what I was writing, no more time! Hehehe! (Wink!)

As I have to pass the torch to my fellow blog warriors, I nominate the following:

1. A Simple Life – one of the brilliant story-telling blogger I am following whose tales, fiction or nonfiction, will rival those books in the market!
2. RaineFairy – a business traveler whose poems bespeaks of her exploits and who always loved her mother country, the Philippines!
3. Sophie Speaks Up – the wittiest girl I’ve ever known so far that always puts a smile on my face in everything she writes!
4. Julie Powell – one of the astounding photographers whose photo blogs I always eagerly await to appear on my reader!
5. Phalanxed Noise – one of the many genius and deep thinking bloggers in the universe whose philosophies and mind-awakening insights has always kept me concluding that he is right in what he has said!

And the dragon you will be facing is…
What would you rather be, a vampire or a werewolf? And Why?

Cheers! 🙂

My Leibster Award…

A thousand thanks to Kirsty of the “Outside of the Coffee Cup” for nominating me to the Leibster Award… it is truly an honor to be nominated again by a blogger like Kirsty for an award like this. Lots of thanks, Kirsty!

Now, to answer Kirsty’s questions… 🙂

1. Would you rather be able to fly or be able to turn invisible? And why? I’d rather turn invisible like the “Invisible Man”. Imagine what I can do if no one can see me. I can watch movies for free, ride an airplane to go around the world for free even without a visa or passport, or serve as a highly-paid assassin like a ninja who can enter a fully guarded premises without being seen. Hahaha!

2. Do you prefer Spring or Autumn? And why? My country, being tropical, only has two seasons, wet and dry and we don’t have a spring or autumn seasons. But when I visit US, I time my visit during Spring, of course. The weather is just about right and everything seems to be alive. I prefer the West Coast as it does not snow there.

3. If you could meet someone past or present, famous or not, who would it be? I would like to meet Hanzo Hattori, the greatest Ninja who ever lived in medieval Japan… and I will ask him to teach me his ninjutsu techniques so I could be the next champion of the UFC Octagon! 🙂

4. Where is your favourite place to be? And why? This is a tough question as I have no favorite place to be. Let’s just say my favorite theme park is the Universal Studios in Hollywood. This place made me experience some of the things I’ve seen in the movies, like the “Studio Tour”, “Back to the Future” ride (which was phased out), the “Revenge of the Mummy” (this used to be the “ET” ride where you ride a bike), and the “Jurassic Park”, to name a few. I’ve been in this place for more than 10 times. 🙂

5. Are you happy with your life or would you change it? I am definitely happy with my life… the only thing that is lacking is having a grandson or granddaughter! 🙂

6. Someone comes up to you and gives you £10 ($10) what do you spend it on? I’ll use my 10 pounds (that’s about Php 700 in our currency) to treat myself in a japanese buffet dinner and I’ll bring along my family.  With 10 pounds less, I’ll just only pay 30 pounds (on the average, buffet dinners here in the Philippines is about 10 pounds per person).

7. Who is your dream guy or girl? And why? My dream girl is Jennifer Lopez and I think you know why! Hehehe! 🙂

8. Do you believe in Ghosts? And why? No, I don’t believe in ghosts because I don’t believe that souls of people can linger around or go back in the physical world. Honestly, I don’t believe that people have souls in the first place. But that’s only my belief and as they say, “to each his own…”.

9. If you could be any Superhero who would it be? And why? I would like to be “Thor”… because he is the god of thunder and lightning.  Mortal superheroes are no match to a god hero like Thor! 🙂

10. What is your favourite song? My favorite song is “Stairway to Heaven” by Led Zeppelin. Led Zep is still and will ever be my favorite rock band.

These are the rules of the Award:
Once you are nominated, make a post thanking and linking the person who nominated you.
– Include the Leibster Award sticker in the post too.

– Answer the ten questions asked to you by the person who nominated you, and make ten questions of your own for your nominees.
– Lastly, COPY these rules in the post.

And these are my questions:

1. Why did you started a blog site and who was your first follower?

2. When and where was the first time you said “I love you…!” to a person you felt was your soul mate?

3. If you have a lamp with a genie inside who granted you three wishes, what are the three things you will wish for?

4. What talent would you like to have and why?

5. What is your favorite food and why?

6. If Genghis Khan, Hitler, and Nero were alive today and will be running for president, who will you vote and why?

7. Assuming that reincarnation is true and you will be an animal in your next life, what animal would you like to be and why?

8. What are the first three things which you normally do upon waking up in the morning?

9. What are the last three things which you normally do before going to bed in the evening?

10. Which one would you want to be… a vampire or a werewolf? And why?

Following the rules of the Leibster Award, I will be nominating 10 bloggers. I will be sending the 10 bloggers the good news of being nominated to the Leibster Award separately. Congratulations in advance to those who will be receiving my nominations! 🙂
