Is Holy Week still relevant to the Catholics and does it really matter now or is it just a dying Catholic tradition with its meaning slowly translating into just a long weekend of respite from the daily grind?
Is the observance of the Holy Week still relevant today for the practicing Catholics?
… When most of them are spending the holy week in beaches and resorts and posting these on social media for everyone to see how much fun they are getting?
… When most of them are having a good time eating and drinking with their relatives and friends at their hometown province?
… And when most of them are relaxing on stay-cation mode?

I haven’t been to the Catholic church in a long time, but I still observe holy week.

It’s odd that some of those who go to church on Sundays don’t observe holy week anymore. By the way, I’m not Catholic. 🙂

We attend a Protestant church now but I used to go to both, and at times have gone to none!
