The famous last words of Steve Jobs saying that “… pursuit of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted being just like me” went viral on the social networks. It was really long and I bet most of you have seen it being shared by your friends via Facebook or twitter… And some of you might have even shared it yourself.

Sorry to dissapoint the fans of Steve Jobs, this viral “last words of Steve Jobs” is a hoax. It was never published on the mainstream media after his death in 2011 and was just seen in 2015 in a blog post made by an unknown blogger.

His sister Mona Simpson told the media her brother’s final words which were, “Oh wow, oh wow, oh wow”! Those are it…! I hope the world will respect Steve Jobs by not putting words in his mouth. May he rest in peace!

In response to “3 Days, 3 Quotes Challenge”. Happy thanksgiving to all!

Quotes that were never been really said by famous people Day 2

One of the famous quotes that fathers tell their son about the virtue of honesty was a story concerning the young George Washington when he cut a cherry tree from a biography written by Parson Mason Weems.

Many Americans believed that the young George Washington said it since Washington was known for his honesty. Unfortunately, the young Washington didn’t say it. Historians agree that Mason Weems just constructed the story to add flavor to Washington’s childhood life. As they say, many biographies have a seasoning of fiction!

You can also check my prior post about a quote wrongly associated to Putin, Day 1 of the 3 Quotes 3 Day Challenge.

Putin’s “quote” after the Paris attack went viral. A lot jumped into the bandwagon and started sharing Putin’s quote in Facebook and twitter. But the fact is… He never said it!

Did you know that in the movie “Man on Fire” (2004), this phrase was said by Denzel Washington’s character?

My name is Marwa, and I am a Muslim.

“You can come with me on my Cancer Awareness walks at the local middle school, or you can follow me to work where it’s my job to create happiness.

You can also see how my local mosque makes PB&J sandwiches for the homeless and hosts interfaith dinners where everyone is welcome.

Maybe then you’ll see that me being Muslim doesn’t make me any less American than you are.

Maybe if you walk in my footsteps, you can see that I am not any less human than you are.”

Dear @realdonaldtrump,

My name is Marwa, and I am a Muslim.

I heard you wanted us the start wearing ID badges, so I decided to choose one for myself.

I am not easily identifiable as a ‪

Muslim

just by looking at me, so my new badge will let me display proudly who I am.

I chose the peace sign because it represents my ‪

Islam.

The one that taught me to oppose ‪injustice and yearn for ‪unity.

The one that taught me that killing one innocent life is equivalent to killing humanity.

I heard you want to track us as well.

Great!

You can come with me on my Cancer Awareness walks at the local middle school, or you can follow me to work where it’s my job to create happiness.

The Star Wars Saga Lives…

Manila is now hyped up with the Star Wars upcoming movie episode. Majority of the city malls have started putting up themes related to the Star Wars phenomenon. I was unable to see Episode IV which was shown when I was in elementary. But when I was in high school, I was able to watch Episode V, The Empire Strikes Back. Oh boy, I wished I was a Starfighter pilot after watching that movie! The rest is history… And I even have a Bluray collection of all Star Wars episodes.

I am excited and looking forward to see the latest episode of Star Wars…! May the Force be with you!

Let’s Go to War… War! War! War!

Why is war good for the economy? (A skeptic’s humor unleashed!)

1. It generates employment! Countries at war needs more soldiers. They need more workers to manufacture munitions. Thousands of body bags do not matter, they get employed! Employment matters! Of course, the defense industry is all smiles with pre-orders from warring countries… And their executives are already planning for expansion and how much their huge bonuses will be!

2. Oil price increases! And that’s good business for the Gulf States who are members of the OPEC. They can build more elegant tourist spots and top of the line airports. And again, the construction of these facilities require manpower. That’s another employment opportunities for overseas workers!

3. Price increase of basic commodities! Oh boy, this is the sweetest gain from war. Businessmen will have a heyday counting their profits and giving dividends to the stockholders. Of course, the stockholders will be very happy receiving cash dividends which will result to an increase in consumer spending. Never mind those unfortunate populace who are dying from starvation… Look at it positively, the economy is booming! What more can you ask?

What are we waiting for? Let’s go to war! The hell with “world peace”… That’s for the poor!
