The Quezon Memorial Monument is in the heart of Quezon City, a city formerly known as the capital of the Philippines. The monument was named after one of the nation’s former president, Manuel Quezon, whose remains lie inside the monument.
The mountain that can be viewed at the back of the monument is the Sierra Madre Mountain Range, the longest mountain range in the country that runs from Cagayan Valley in the North up to the Quezon Province in the South.
