Last Saturday, it was the night of the lunar eclipse or the “blood moon” as called by most. Before the Earth’s umbra (the Earth’s darker shadow) covered the moon, I saw a crimson divide in the horizon that seems to partition the heavens.
I am unaware of what this phenomenon was but I was completely in awe… It was like a sword has made a killing cut to a portion of the sky resulting to a mortal wound where blood was spilling from the ruptured veins!
And I thought of a haiku…
terror in darkness
blood flowing in the night sky,
the crimson divide!
Gorgeous! One of the most beautiful haiku I have read here on WP. 🙂
