The Road with No Name

It’s Lenten Season in the Philippines. For the Catholics, it is Good Friday today and is a National Non-Working Holiday in the country. Majority of the businesses are closed, including restaurants and malls. More than half of the population in Metro Manila are spending their “long weekend” at beaches, resorts, and other places to have fun and enjoy time with their families and friends until Easter Sunday.

The road with no name looks deserted as not a single soul is seen on the road, though there are still vehicles that pass by from time to time. The road looks like it is the day after a zombie apocalypse when everyone seems to be gone.

Yup, that’s how the city looks like during Lenten Season in the Philippines…
