The modified jeep or “Dyipni” (Jeepney) as we call it in the Philippines is a famous mode of local transportation to commute from one place to another. Anywhere in the Philippines, you will see the Dyipni… some may be dilapitated and old, some new with awesome accessories on its hood and stickers on its body.
The Dyipni was engineered based on the body of a World War 2 personnel vehicle left by the US Army when they liberated the country from Japanese occupation way back in 1945.
